Iranian Envoy in Iraq for Talks, as Rebels Battle U.S. Gunships

BAGHDAD, Iraq, May 17 – American troops backed by helicopter gunships clashed with insurgents in the northern city of Mosul today, as Iran’s foreign minister arrived in Baghdad for talks that he has said will tackle a number of issues, including closing out unfinished business from the Iran-Iraq war.
